Portable Defibrillator Fund

Our volunteers dedicate thousands of hours each year to caring for North West Kent’s wildlife, landscapes and green spaces. To help keep volunteers and staff safe while working outdoors, we have secured funding for a portable defibrillator with support from AEDdonate and local councillors. We are now raising funds to cover the annual maintenance cost of £99 per year, ensuring this potentially life-saving equipment remains ready for use, should the worst happen.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help us provide a safer environment for those who give their time to protect our countryside.

Did You know?

Over 40,000 people suffer cardiac arrests outside of hospital every year, with survival rates under 10%? However, with timely defibrillation within 3–5 minutes, survival can increase dramatically to 50–70%.

We are extremely grateful to Kent County Councillors Diane Morton (Gravesham Rural), Marc Logen (Sevenoaks North & Darent Valley), Beverley Fordham (Dartford West) and Ben Fryer (Dartford North East), whose support through the Kent County Council Member Grant Scheme helped fund the purchase of our portable defibrillator in 2026. Together with support from AEDdonate, their contribution has enabled us to enhance the safety of the volunteers and staff who care for North West Kent’s wildlife and green spaces.
