Citizen Science - National Hedgehog Monitoring Programme
We have been carrying out camera trap surveys as part of the National Hedgehog Monitoring Programme (NHMP), a UK-wide initiative that monitors hedgehogs and other wild mammals. By collecting data from sites across the country, the programme helps researchers better understand how mammal populations are changing and provides valuable evidence to support conservation action.
Images from our surveys are uploaded to MammalWeb, an online citizen science platform where volunteers can help identify the species captured by camera traps. To view the images, you will need to create a free MammalWeb account. Once registered, you can explore the wildlife recorded through our surveys and contribute to this important national monitoring effort.Simply select the relevant Kent project to view images and records from that site.
MammalWeb.org → NHMP → South East England → Kent 1 (Holborough) or Kent 3 (Otford)
